... that Cait got married!!!!! (Part 1)

Cait wanted to have an open house in Camarillo when Mom got home, so Matt and I jumped on a plane and headed to California for a whole 28 hours! We flew in Thursday morning and rented a car to take Mom back to Camarillo with us. Except then her luggage made her miss her connection in San Francisco... And we ended up having a couple of extra hours to kill in LA. Which may have turned out to be a good thing, because someone accidentally left their wedding heels at home, and I needed to go find another pair. No one was really worried about Mom's flight getting in anyway; they were obviously way more concerned with getting their orders from Tito's.

#titosforlife

We grabbed a breakfast of champions at Del Taco, ran to Target and the Mall, found two pairs of shoes and some other necessities, jetted to Tito's to grab the food, raced back to the airport to pick up Mom, then were finally on our way to Camarillo!

We arrived to Kelly's house and jumped right into the chaos that was already under way. The Skousens were in the kitchen doing flowers and the Blicks were running all over the house like chickens with their heads cut off. But after many hours of makeuping and hairdoing and dress switching and tablecloth ironing and shoe changing and present giving, we headed up to the reception center in Westlake!

The food was good, the company was better, and I was so happy to be there! So happy in fact that I didn't remember to take a single picture the whole night. Not even with my sisters, who apparently all took pictures without me.

#whatever

It was so so so good to be home! And if it was only for one night, at least it was a night to remember!

We love Camarillo and Cait and Kade!!!

... that January was really really busy?

The whole month of January was packed with all sorts of crazy fun!!!

I visited Matt's cousin, who has her own rabbitry and tons of baby bunnies.

Yes, a rabbitry is a real thing and it is now my lifelong dream to have one of my own.

I helped Cait get ready for the wedding

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Matt and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary with a little staycation in Park City. We stayed at the Silverado Lodge up in The Canyons and had a great time. We also found a great burger place up there called the Junction that was pretty dang good! I took this pic to document my new favorite tote bag that I got for Christmas that makes me laugh every time I look at it (thanks Brookie!)

And we had a little visit from Jamie and Pierce!!!

SUCH A CUTIE.

Before we knew it, it was wedding time!!!!!

... that Matt bleeds blue?

There are three things that Matt loves the most in the world:

1. Me
2. Wild Cherry Pepsi
3. BYU

He and all of his friends got picked to participate in a free throw contest during a time out at the Marriot Center and they were all stoked! We got free tickets to the game, rode down the special "guarded" elevator to the court level, got to hang out under the stadium with Cosmo and the cheerleaders, and also ran into one of mom and dad's returned missionaries. Matt even let me come onto the court with him and be one of his rebounders hahahahahahaha

Oh, and I forgot to mention Matt's homemade Jimmer shirt that he wore underneath a regular shirt, so that he could take off his shirt on the court. Because pretending to strip is funny. Especially at BYU.

Matt didn't win the contest, but at BYU, everyone's a winner, so it's okay.

We love BYU!

... that my little baby is not a little baby anymore??

My little baby has finally found her eternal companion!!!

These two. All the heart eyes.

Cait's soon-to-be mother in law threw her an adorable bridal shower with tons of great food and great presents! I was the only representative of the Blickensibs, and I was so proud of myself for contributing by bringing two dozen beautiful homemade sugar cookies! And then I walked into the kitchen and saw 1 million absolutely perfect Swig copycat sugar cookies... and wanted to die.

Whatevs.

Jolynn was so sweet and wanted me to feel welcome as part of the family, so she introduced me to all her friends and had me sit right next to Cait while she opened all of her gifts and asked me to keep the gift list. I was so glad I could be there! Afterward, we laughed and laughed as Cait and Kade told everyone their meeting/dating/engagement story. Those two are so stinking cute.

I love my little baby!

... that it was Christmas time again!!!

Christmas is always so busy for the Harrisons! There is so much family tradition to uphold, like the huge extended family Christmas Eve Brunch

And the great cousin gift exchange!

Then Christmas Eve dinner together, wrapping all the presents and setting out the stockings, and finally Christmas morning! It was so nice to be home with everyone and just take it easy. Then later that night, we had dinner at our house with everyone and anyone who wanted to come! I was in charge of the sweet potatoes, which I managed to not destroy (still bitter about the Thanksgiving fiasco -___- ), and afterward we broke out the petting zoo for all the little girl cousins.

#favoriteaunt

Kaari was in town too, so I went down to Provo a couple of times to hang out with them while they were here. Although apparently she really just wanted to hang out with Matt.

I may be the favorite aunt, but I am still clearly second fiddle when it comes to real entertainment.

I love Christmas!

... that my nerdiness has limits?

I am a huge supernerd when it comes to LOTR.

I have accepted this. I am even proud of it.

But I have limits, and apparently that limit is Star Wars.

Matt's cousin Dal got tickets to a showing of the new Star Wars movie, and was nice enough to invite us to come along! Dal is a HUGE Star Wars supernerd, which is totally WAY more embarrassing than a LOTR supernerd. He had literally seen the movie twice before he went with us, and that was within a 12 hour period of time. I mean, seriously, which is more nerdy:

Okay, we're just going to move on.

The premier was awesome, and it was great to spend time with Dal and Shar because they are awesome too. And even though Dal is a supernerd, I was still the only one that "dressed up" for the occasion.

1 man costume contest over here, and I won.

I love being a supernerd!

... that we love friends?

This picture makes me so happy.

Two of my four "roommates" from my first apartment at BYU on Condo Row. I recently reconnected with Beck, and then Sterling let us know he was coming into town over Christmas, so we just had to get together for a little roommate dinner and catch up on life. Sterling introduced us to his ridiculously adorable family, we ate delicious food at Station 22, Matt told jokes, and everyone was happy.

I love my roommates!!!
