... that Jas was 17 months!

"Raise your hand if you're a stinky girl!"

She loves tickle fights,

although she does have quite the gangster/tough guy side to her too...

She loves FaceTime,

her lightsaber,

bath time, new hairdos,

and hide-and-seek.

She is our Spazzy Jazzy! Love my sweet baby!!!!!!!!!!!!

... that we had a fun weekend?

We decided to try to be cool kids and go down to Provo on a Friday night for Marc's band's reunion show! We had a pretty good time, even if Jas refused to nap on the way down to Provo. We met up with Cait and Kade and Mom and Dad before the show and tried out Provo's newest award winning burger place, The Wall. Pretty good!

Jas was a little cranky and she did NOT like her ear plugs, but once we went inside the venue and the music started, she was all about the dance moves! She LOVES music so much and all she wanted was to be on the floor dancing! We decided not to push our luck too much, so we left a little early, but it was a fun night!

The next day, we decided to walk down to the Wasatch Food Festival at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center and despite the ridiculous heat, it was pretty fun! Matt found a Puerto Rican food stand selling mofongo and empanadillas and he was in heaven!

He talked about how good it was for DAYS afterward. He also tried some falafel and garlic fries, while Jas and I stuck to raspberry and chocolate ice cream. Then we ran home real quick to meet the babysitter so that Matt and I could go to Stake Conference. And then of course we had to stop at Sonic afterward for a treat. Because righteousness always deserves a treat.

Not a shabby weekend!

... that we had so much family time!

When we got back from Bear Lake, Kell was in town waiting for us! She had extended her trip to St. George to grace us with her presence, so we headed down to Lindon to visit her at McKenna's house and have a little selfie session

Then Fin had to join too. Like mother, like daughter :)

It was a quick visit for them, but we had just enough time to also fit in a trip to DP Cheesesteaks before they headed back home

Just look at those heart eyes Cutter is giving Jas. Melts me! The very next day, Mom came into town to help me throw Cait a baby shower!

It was a little stressful, but I managed to pull all my crap together at the last minute, and I think it went okay! Those mini cinnamon and orange rolls were a pain, but if Cait wants it, Cait gets it! I was very pleased that I made it through the day without a mental breakdown. The same could not really be said for Jas... but she did okay.

Quick trips for Kell and Mom and Dad, but we were glad to see them! We always love family time!!! And we are so excited for Auntie Cait to be a mommy!!!!!!!!!

... that we went to Bear Lake?

The Laugenours were renting a cabin at Bear Lake for a few days and had a little bit of extra space, so they invited some Harrisons to join! Jas loved everything about the cabin, including the cousins, the swing, dance parties, fire pit, and waking us up in the night with her snoring.

This summer has been unbearably hot and I was so looking forward to going to the lake! And then it literally started hailing on our drive up to the cabin. We had planned on renting jet skis the next morning, and the weather forecast said it wasn't supposed to start raining again until the afternoon, so we took our chances...

Turned out perfect! It was overcast, but still warm enough to be plenty comfortable. Jas LOVES the water and I had forgotten how much fun jet skis are! We had a great couple of hours on the shore and in the water and it was so much fun! Eventually it started sprinkling, the kids started getting tired and hungry, and we had finally decided that we had pushed our luck just enough when we started seeing lightning in the distance. So Andy and Lance took off to return the jet skis across the lake while we packed up the kids as fast as we could. We barely made it into the cars before it started POURING BUCKETS. Jas fell asleep in a matter of minutes, so Matt and I grabbed a quick and quiet lunch in the car while she slept. I couldn't wait to get my hands on a Bear Lake raspberry shake!!

We had just missed Raspberry Days, but the shakes were still going strong! So good!

It was so much fun hanging out with the Laugenours. They know how to party! Late night games, laughing, s'mores at the fire pit, and SO MUCH FOOD. We didn't get much sleep at all, but we had a great time.

We love Bear Lake and the Laugies!
