... that we are fun?

We know how to party!

We party with the family at the Salt Lake Muscular Dystrophy walk (we love you Gavin!)

And sometimes we even drive all the way to Idaho to party at the hot springs with our besties on their birthday (even though I'm pretty sure there are hot springs in Utah too...... hahaha)

And sometimes I bring the party when I make sugar cookies for the sisters

Or when I make creme brulee for them all by myself

Because I am awesome.

Aaaaand Kar is pretty awesome too because she always brings the party at her house with painted nails for everyone.

... that we actually did something for Valentine's Day?

Matt and I hardly ever do anything big for Valentine's day because it falls after my birthday, and Christmas, and our anniversary, and we've definitely spent all of our present money by the time it rolls around. But this year, we decided to have some fun, Vegas style!!! Kim and Byron were kind enough to lend us the casita for the weekend and insisted that we wouldn't be ruining any of their Valentine's plans, so we packed our bags and headed down for a little getaway.

Matt and the Williams were kind enough to indulge my never ending desire to walk the strip

And we even walked down to a brand new casino and checked out their ferris wheel

Matt was sweet and got me a French Press for Valentine's Day! I had been admiring Kell's press at her house when we went home for Jake's wedding, and I was wondering if Matt had remembered it. I kind of forgot about it when he didn't give me one for Christmas, so this was a great surprise!

I had really really wanted to take Matt to BURGR the last time we were in Vegas, since Matt loves burgers and Gordon Ramsay! We never made it, so I wanted to try again this trip. We tried to go for Valentine's dinner with the Williams, but it ended up being a two hour wait, so we opted for Mexican instead, which was good. But I was still determined, so we went on Monday on our way out of town! It was pretty good, but we were both a little disappointed that Gordon didn't show up and start yelling at people.

We love Vegas!

... that I am SO happy Cait is home!!!

We missed Cait so much!!!!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOO happy she is back in Utah!

Her and Christina Aguilera immediately became best friends

The first place Cait wanted to eat back in Provo: Cafe Rio.

And of course, Kar and I are making sure she is keeping up on her spirituality.

We love Cait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

... that Matt was a murderer?

Matt and I were invited to a Murder Mystery dinner!

My friend Debbi is in charge of her stake's single adult activities, and she needed more guys for a Murder Mystery dinner she was throwing, so she asked if Matt and I wanted to come play characters! We weren't allowed to know each others' character info, so it was a mystery for both of us! We got all dolled up, headed over to the church, and the acting began!

Matt played Zachary Wellington, a single father whose wife had died some years before under... mysterious circumstances. And I played Mercy Neist, a scandalous single woman who had recently returned to America after leaving several ex-husbands in Europe (Thanks Deb!). I pulled out my artistic skills to make my "Eurpoean scheming socialite" character a birdcage veil that I was pretty proud of.

We had a few minutes to mingle and get to know everyone's characters, then sat down to dinner and waited for someone to die!

In the end, Matt turned out to be the murderer! I had no idea. Pretty funny!

At the end of the night, everyone voted on who they thought the murderer was, who played their character the best, and who had the best costume. And Matt and I took the cake! He got a prize for being the murderer and I won best character. Not only were we the only married people at a singles activity, but we took all the prizes too. Even I was embarrassed of us. And I love winning!

(Matt is sad because he is a murderer. You need to feel remorse if you're going to repent, right?)

I love a murderer!
