... that enough is never enough?

Never enough partying.  And never enough reptiles.  This is my life.

A few weeks ago Matt sent me a link to a Groupon for two adult and two kids tickets to Repticon in Farmington for the price of 1.5 adult tickets.  Luckily for him, this combines several of my favorite things:
-making Matt happy
-watching him geek out over reptiles
-nephew time
-Groupon
-getting a good deal
-getting out and doing something exciting

So off to Repticon with the Nephews!!!

I asked them to make crocodile faces:

The boys totally had fun! ....... I think.  They ran straight past any tarantula they saw (I hope they didn't have any nightmares), got bored of snakes after like 10 minutes, and we made them sit through a 15 minute lecture on terrarium decor.  But we rewarded them for being so good during the lecture with a little Angry Birds Star Wars time on Matt's phone, so they were happy.

We had to buy them presents, and I figured this was the only kind of snake that Brian would let into the house:

After dragging them around to every display twice, we finally packed them up and took them to meet their parents for dinner at Dave's restaurant, the Bonneville Brewery!  Apparently they didn't get enough Angy Birds in at the Expo:

Ollie got a little tired

But we finally made it to the restaurant and dinner was fabulous!

The boys were a little preoccupied with the TVs by our table:

Don't worry, Lisa shared these delicious desserts with us.  Not that we would have faulted the pregnant lady for eating both of them herself, because they were amazing.

I love nephews and family and reptiles and my husband and good food!

... that the weekend is for partying?

Last weekend was jam packed!

Saturday afternoon (after staying in bed all morning thanks to a small incident I like to call The Worst Migraine I've Ever Experienced in My Life) we went to Lisa's baby shower!

Kendy did a GREAT job with everything.  Awesome food, fun people, cute decorations.  Good times!!!

After the shower, we ran over to Deb and Tanner's baptism!

And I only got yelled at a little bit for taking pictures.  Oops.  Doesn't everyone have pictures from their baptism??  And did anyone yell at your parents???  Whatevs.

Me and Anna being reverent :)

And Elder Bramwell from Camarillo was one of her missionaries!  What a small world!

I'm so proud of Deb and Tanner!  Can't believe I forgot to get a pic of us together at the after party.  Fail.

Then Sunday was Family Dinner at Tracy's house.  Her and Marc are such good cooks!  I love our monthly Harrison Family dinners!

I love family and parties and baptisms and Deb!

... that Debbi's gone? :(:(:(:(:(:(

Friday was Deb's last day.  And we all spent the whole week in mourning.

Of COURSE we went to Tsunami for her goodbye lunch :)

Aaaand then we also had a little office luncheon too.

Obviously there were presents :)

Deb was my best friend in the office.  I will miss her terribly!!!  I only told her about 100,000,000 times how boring our office is gonna be now that she is gone.  Good thing I still have her cell number for when I get those Deb withdrawals.

I love my Deb!

... that it's Conference time?

I love Conference Weekend!  It's a time to get spiritually uplifted and remember what's important in life.  It helps me get refocused.  And it's even better when family comes into town!!!  The parents came (of course) and Kell and Babes even made a special trip up!  I feel like I haven't seen those two in AGES!!!!

Friday was kind of a mess.  I had to go downtown anyway, so I picked up everyone from the airport.  Aaaaand it all kind of went downhill from there for a while.  Work was crazy, and my family is nuts, so by the end of the afternoon, I was a little bit cranky (read: crazy, psycho, and exTREMELY foul tempered).  Nonetheless, I managed to pull it together for a little playing time in the fountains at City Creek

And then a nice lunch at Blue Lemon.  Babes was obsessed with G the whole time.  When G started being fussy, Babes ran over to her to give her hugs and kisses to make her happy.  Didn't really work though:

Babes even shared Grandma with G.  Pretty sure that NEVER happens.

Then I ran back to work while Mom and Dad headed to a meeting, and the girls just... stayed at the mall for three hours.  Color me jealous.  I picked up Mom and Dad after work and we met everyone for a delicious dinner at Bruges.

Yes, we ate cream and strawberry covered waffles for dinner.  And we loved it.  And I gained points with Babes by bringing her yogurt for dinner.  We were totally BFFs for the rest of the night.

Dad brought us tickets to a couple of sessions of conference, the first being Saturday afternoon:

Kell's first time in the Conference Center

Then I sewed while Mom made strawberry pie and studied her Chinese as we waited for the boys to come home from Priesthood session.  Dad was hungry when he got home, soooo:

Late night run to Cafe Rio for some delicious chicken tortilla soup.

We headed down to the conference center again on Sunday morning

Then watched the last session at Kar's house.  We had a great dinner together, in which Kar and Kell made a great Mexican dinner for us and my mom got after me for not doing all the dishes.  Oh well.  We also had a little visitor over for dessert, Kimberly Jo Smith.  She is the great great granddaughter of Joseph Smith, and it was a wonderful opportunity to sit down with her and hear her conversion story.  She's truly an inspiring woman.

Everyone left the next day, but not without one last food run:

Zupas.  Always a good time.  Then I packed them all up into my car and took them to the airport.  I hate goodbyes!!!

I love visitors and Conference!

... that it's Easter?

I love holidays, and Easter is no exception.  Like I always say, any excuse to have a party!

Matt loves ham and I was really craving some cornflake potatoes, so we wanted to have dinner at our place.  Mostly so we could keep the leftovers.  We invited a bunch of family, but in the end only Renee and Cait could come.  Which only means, more food and candy for us!!!  Because yes, I still cooked an entire ham for just four people.  And it was awesome.

Cait sent me a text last week reminding me to make her an Easter egg hunt.  And like the loving, kind sister that I am, I willingly obliged.  I remembered to buy candy at the last minute on Saturday night, and then went to bed without even setting it up.  The next morning, I came out of our room to find our living room strewn with candy that Matt had bought himself and sneakily set up the night before!  He is so sweet!  And it's a good thing too, because my two bags of candy were quite pitiful compared to the mountain of treats that he bought!  Not to mention that I didn't even buy any plastic eggs to put the candy into... Fail.  So I gave him my candy to add to his stash, and he hid it for me (I wasn't allowed to go into the living room because that would be cheating, since the hunt was now for me too and not just the babies).  I have the greatest husband ever!

Matt made us line up in the hallway youngest to oldest, in true Harrison tradition :)

After the hunt, we had a great dinner and read/took naps on the couch.  What a great day!

Easter really is such a special day.  It's a happy reminder that springtime is coming, but more importantly, it's a reminder of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.  I am so grateful that my Savior has overcome death, pain, and sadness for me, so that I can overcome them as well with His help.  I know that He knows me and loves me.  I know that because of His sacrifice, I can live with Him and my family again, if I can endure to the end.

I love Easter!
