... that I love ice cream?!?!

I don't think I am a particularly easy person to buy presents for.  I would rather go shopping for myself.  So I like to give hints to people, if I can even think of something I actually want.  Last Christmas while I was looking for Christmas presents for others, I remembered that while I was still living in SF, I bought my bro a t shirt from Humphry Slocombe (my FAVORITE ice cream place ever!  If you ever go to SF, it is a must try) and then kept it for myself becasue it was too small for him.... and I never replaced it.  And that was over 2 years ago.  Oops.  So I thought I should buy him a new one online!  And in that process (which I never did, by the way.  World's Best Sister, everyone.  Don't worry, I got him another gift that he probably likes more.  I hope.) I came across the Humphry Slocombe Recipe Book!!!  So I sent the link to my hubs telling him I wanted it, and lo and behold, the World's Best Husband came through for me!  On Christmas morning, I had my very own copy of it!  And this isn't like most restaurant cookbooks where they won't put in their best, most popular recipes.  This has ALL of their recipes, secrets, AND is also filled with really funny stories.  I love it.

So now that it is March and finally warm enough for me to even think about eating ice cream, we decided to give this little baby a whirl!  And it was so so so so yummy!

Secret Breakfast ice cream.  Totes amaze.  Even if we did leave out the "secret" part of the recipe (bourbon, we are good Mormon kids here) it was still awesome!  The other secret ingredient?  Homemade cornflake cookies, crumbled up and mixed into the ice cream.

SO GOOD.  And the recipe makes tons of extra batter, which is awesome cause the cookies are amazing just by themselves anyway.  Or eaten with a spoon straight out of the batter bowl, if you would ever do such a thing.  And I would, because it is just that good.

Seriously, so good.  I love ice cream and SF and Christmas presents and cookie dough!

... that it's Deb's birthday?

Happy Birthday Debbi!!!

I love Deb!  She makes work so so so so so much fun!  A bunch of us went to Tsunami for lunch and it was amazing.  She loved the decorations, cupcakes, and Banana Republic socks that we got her.  Oh, and the gift card that I hid inside of the socks too.

Love my Deb!!!  Happy birthday!!!
