... that family time is the best time?

The Wingers came into town and we all wanted to get together to watch our cousin Hanna on The Voice! Kar asked the Wingers to record it for us, and then convinced us all to come down to Provo to watch it with her after her flight landed. Her flight got delayed, so the Skouzies and I killed a little time at Panda Express waiting to pick her up.

Jas seriously loves Kade. He is the first person that she really laughed for besides me and Matt. She is such a little flirt! We finally made it down to the Winger's house and started watching The Voice while Georgia obsessed over Jas.

Jas loved all the attention.... until she didn't hahahahahaha

We ended up staying at the Winger's way too late for a work night, and then Hanna wasn't even on booooooo. Somehow we also got sucked into watching The Fast and The Furious in Spanish... good times. I also tried to convince Kar and Cait to come with us to our cousin Kelsey's wedding reception with us later that week, but they are both huge jerks and wouldn't come. Which ended up sucking for them because

The reception was awesome! Great food, I got to see all my aunts and uncles, and Jas tried bacon for the first time...

So really everyone had fun. That is until Jas threw up mac and cheese all over everything and then smelled like rotten milk for the rest of the night.

Gotta love family time!

... that we should have just named her Tyra?

The Copper Pearl called again, and my little model was more than happy to oblige!

When we walked into the studio, the photographer said, "I am so glad she's here! The other model we booked today was NOT smiling at all, but I know we'll get some great pics with Jas!"

(OMG. Always with that little tongue. All the heart eyes.)

Could she be anymore perfect???

I have a sad feeling that this may be her last photo shoot. Since these companies mostly focus on baby products, they have told me that they like to keep their models under 1 year old. They snuck this shoot in just in time! But who knows, she could be "discovered" by someone else someday! This whole modeling thing happened pretty organically, and I am honestly surprised at how much it took off. And by that I mean I am not surprised at all because she is the most beautiful, happy, perfect baby that ever lived, so of course she is a model.

Love my beautiful Jas!!!!!

... that Jas was 11 months!

Trying to take pictures of an almost crawler like:

I say ALMOST crawler because no, at 11 months she was still not crawling yet. Not for lack of practicing, which we did a lot and Jas absolutely loved:

So stoked that we are forcing her to move.

Also, let's talk about her hair.

There is one black teacher at her daycare, and she asked me one day if she could play with Jas' hair. Of course! I am just so glad that someone is willing to do her hair, because let's be honest... I am terrified of it. She started coming home with the cutest 'dos:

Aaaaand some 'dos that were maybe not the cutest...

Although she seemed to love it...

(Insert crying laughing emoji here)

Jas finally got over her abhorrence for solid food and actually started willingly eating rice krispies and bread:

She is such a little lady and has the daintiest way of picking up each crumb with just two little fingers when she eats. So cute! And although she never chews anything, she has enough teeth to eat a steak because she is ALWAYS TEETHING. She occasionally gets a fever, but mostly her teething manifests itself in the most heinous of all symptoms: waking up in the middle of the night. Seriously, bite me, cry, have a runny nose or fever... I would take it all, but for the love DON'T WAKE ME UP WHEN I'M SLEEPING. Good thing she is cute! Plus, she makes it up to me by agreeing to go to In N Out with me whenever I want.

She also loves 1:1 time with her daddy too:

And Matt has fully committed to her future education already

She had so much fun at the basketball game and loved it whenever the crowd would cheer! She is such an easy going girl and 90% of the time is so easy to take anywhere. But sometimes partying with dad can be a little too much and we just need a nap in the middle of Costco.

We love our little Jas so much!!!!!!!!!!!

... that it was Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day always seems to get the short end of the celebration stick at our house, but we had a little fun! Matt pulled through with a beautiful bouquet sent to my work:

And we got our first Valentine from our little Jas:

I DIE.

I immediately added it to my Pinterest worthy mantle display:

And Matt and I also celebrated with a belated Valentine's dinner with the parents at the Melting Pot, my fave! So glad that I now have two valentines to share my love with!

... that Jas was 10 months!

Spazzy Jazzy:

Sans "10 month" sticker because
a) it didn't match her outfit
b) it was upstairs and I was too lazy to get it and
c) there is no c.

At Jas' nine month appointment, the doctor told Matt that if she didn't start crawling rolling over moving AT ALL soon, she would need to start seeing a physical therapist. And I laughed, because I know there's nothing wrong with her! She is just too lazy and happy to want to move! She is such an angel and just sits there and smiles at me until I give her anything that she wants, so she is never motivated to go anywhere ever. So I finally took her toys away from her, and what do you know! She finally rolled over!!! And I would post a video of it on the blog, but I don't know how to do that and guess what? Jas isn't the only lazy one in the family.

We were also apparently not pushing Jas on the trying-new-foods front as hard as we should have been, so we decided to ease her into more solid foods with puffs, AKA baby crack. Seriously, I have not met a single baby in the world who does not LOVE these puffs. Until Jas.

She was SO MAD when I made her eat them!!! But I kept shoving them in her mouth and taking pics because I was DYINGGGGGGGG!

But seriously, we are good parents. Even if Jas doesn't even help out with the family chores.

We went out to dinner one night at Chedda Burger (AMAZING) and Jas stared at this girl behind us for like 15 minutes straight. I even tried to distract her with some food, but all she wanted to do was STARE until the girl finally leaned over and asked if she could try feeding her. Sure, she apparently loves you, why not!

We also took Jas to visit her cousins for Kameron's mission farewell, where she was smothered in cousin love, tried to learn to drink from a water bottle, and even ended up with a little hair twist

Everyone loves Jas!!!
