... that mom and dad came back again!

Mom and dad came back to Utah to visit their missionaries AGAIN over Conference weekend. Oh, and they came to see us too.

I came downstairs Sunday morning to find that mom had commandeered every inch of kitchen counter space to make three different kinds of cinnamon rolls.

Now, I am the #1 fan of conference cinnamon rolls. But Mom insisted on making cinnamon rolls, gluten free cinnamon rolls, and gluten free sticky buns, all in the name of Kade's special gluten-free diet he was trying out. And let's just say it was... difficult.

First the dough wouldn't rise. Then it baked on the bottom of the bowl because it got too hot on the stove where it was rising and we had to scrape it off.

Then it rose too much and the pan on the bottom stuck to the pan on the top. We finally got the dough all rolled out,

And some of them turned out great!

Aaaaaand some of them did not.

We did also have some breakfast casserole to eat

So in the end, we were all spiritually and physically fed. I really did admire my mom for persevering through all that work! We enjoyed conference like always, and afterward Cait and I made Kade's-diet-approved coconut and basil curry, which also turned out delicious. It was nice to have so much family around to enjoy conference with!

We love mom and dad and conference!
