As soon as Jas was home, we were showered with so so much love! Lisa set up a Meal Train for us to have dinners, we had visitors over all the time, and so many people wanted to throw us baby showers! I was totally overwhelmed by the love from all of our family and friends.
Kell and Jer sent us these beautiful flowers to brighten up our home
And tons of people gave us baby clothes and supplies. It was so nice to not have to worry about those expenses when were trying to manage buying a house and paying the adoption fees at the same time. We even received gifts from tons of people we didn't know: people in our new ward, and friends of friends who just had extra baby things. Our long time family friend messaged me that someone she knew was giving away all of her old baby stuff, and Cait and I ran down to pick up probably twelve boxes of baby clothes! We were really and truly blessed to be able to spend time focusing on caring for our little miracle baby instead of stressing about work and money.
A few weeks after Jas came home, Renee graduated from law school at BYU, which meant that the whole family came into town for party time! And double bonus, we got to make Jas' first official public outing a trip to BYU! Matt was ecstatic. I told Matt that we could plan on going to the graduation and staying as long as we could, but I was not sure how long Jas (or I) would really last on her first time being out of the house for so long.
Jas was a perfect angel and slept in our arms through the whole ceremony, then we all grabbed some pizza afterward and she was just as happy as could be. Seriously perfect! I had been worried for nothing. People were shocked at how content she was, and to this day, that has not changed. Everywhere we go, I always get comments on what a happy, easygoing, well-behaved baby she is! Heavenly Father seriously blessed us with the most wonderful baby we could have ever asked for!
