... that I had a special Valentine?

My bunny Vaaaaaaalentine,
Sweet bunny Vaaaaaaaaaalentine...

#jazzgirlz4life

Matt did not like this photo shoot too much. Sorry, Matty.

I love my furry little Valentine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

... that I will always be a nanny?

Steph texted me that their family was finally coming to Utah for a ski trip and they wanted to get together for dinner!!! I love this family so so so much and was so excited to see them! I asked Steph what I could bring to dinner and she requested one of the meals that I used to make for them, none other than the famous CBC!!! After I almost died laughing, I happily obliged! Matt and I drove up to Park City to the little condo they had rented for the week and had a great night reminiscing and catching up.

These girls.

I love all of them so much!!!!! I was Fiona's nanny for over two years, and although Addie was too young to remember having me as a nanny (she calls me "Fiona's nanny"), she still loves me too. And that Violet! Just as beautiful and adorable as her sisters.

I love these girls with all my heart!!!!!

... that my work retreats are the best?

Another year, another trip to Daniel's Summit!

This year was especially exciting though!!! I actually went by myself this year because Matt had a big deposition on Friday that he couldn't miss and we decided it would be easier if he just stayed at home. But he was totally sad that he didn't come when he found out that BYU Quarterback Riley Nelson showed up and sat at our table at dinner!

I had a little bit of a star struck moment when I realized who he was and how excited Matt would have been if he had been there! Good thing his wife was super cool and didn't mind random girls taking pictures with her husband...

Aaaaanyway, the next day was super exciting too, because Deb and I went snowmobiling together and I almost died. I decided to race with the big guys and accidentally flew over a huge hole going 45 mph.

Those are my snowmobile tracks going over that hole. I hit my head on the handle bars (good thing I was wearing a helmet) and bit my tongue SUPER hard when I landed on the other side. Like I thought I had bitten my tongue off. And it didn't heal for probably 2 weeks. And I thought I had broken the snowmobile and every bone in my body.

I don't think Matt will let me go to work functions by myself anymore.

I love my job!

... that we love all the food?

Kell and Kar were able to stay in Utah for a couple of extra days after the wedding, and it was party time FOOD TIME!!!

Most of Monday was spent debating where we wanted to meet for dinner that night, and it was finally decided that Matt and I would meet everyone down at Cubby's. So we drove down to Lehi... but no one was at Cubby's when we got there. So I called Kell, and had the following conversation:

Me: Kell, where are you?
Kell: We're at Moochies.
Me: What? You told me to go to Cubby's!
Kell: Yeah.
Me: Okay, we'll come over there.
Kell: No, stay there, we'll be there in a minute.
Me: What?? Aren't you guys eating at Moochies?
Kell: Yeah, but we'll be there in a minute.
Me: What??? Why are you coming here?
Kell: Jer wants a sandwich.

So we joined the foodies for their second dinner at Cubby's and it was DELICIOUS! But apparently not quite satisfying... because third dinner was right around the corner at JDawgs.

Seriously. Three restaurants, one amaaaaaaazing dinner.

On Tuesday, everyone was packing up and getting ready to go home, but I REFUSED to let Kell leave Utah before trying Spitz!!!!!

I had been waiting for MONTHS to take Kell here! Something deep down in my heart told me that Kell would just love it. And of course I was right. It was a magical moment of sharing and caring covered in delicious tzatziki sauce and perfectly complimented by the burgers that Jer brought over from Rich's across the street. I guess the Rexs always eat at a minimum of two restaurants per meal??? And then there is this little angel who was the picture of pure joy with her cup of "brown spicy."

All the heart eyes.

We love the fooooooooood!!!

... that there was definitely an after party?

At the end of the night, Jake and Jacky were talking about how they needed to get their rental car to the airport, so Matt and I offered to pick them up at the airport and take them to the Skousens so they could catch a ride down to Provo. And then the worst snow storm in the history of snow decided to descend upon the Salt Lake Valley. It took us forever, but we finally made it to Draper, where we met up with the Wingers and the Rexs to let them take Jake and Jacky the rest of the way to Provo. On the way back home, I happened to look in the back seat of my car... and saw Jake's wallet. Sooo it was decided that I would drive down to Provo in the morning and give Jake his wallet and hang out with the family before people started going back home. We played in the snow with the kids, relaxed, ate orange rolls and a delicious lasagna, and those who were feeling righteous even went to Sacrament meeting.

I was sad to abandon Matt all day, but it was so great to spend all day with so many of my siblings and nieces and nephews!!!!! And I was so glad that I could hang out with Mom before she flew back to Dad on Monday morning!

I love my family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

... that Cait got married!!!!! (Part 2)

The next morning, we packed up all our stuff and headed right back to the airport! A quick plane ride later, and we were back in Utah, ready for Round 2!

We picked up Jer and Madden from the airport and dropped them off at their hotel, then headed home for a much needed nap. Later that night, we dragged ourselves off the couch and headed over to the Skousens, where everyone was congregating for some last minute preparations and partying. Including a small herd of deer.

#random

Saturday morning we woke up early and I would just like to say for the record that I was the first Blickensib to the temple!!!!! It was absolutely freezing, but the sealing was beautiful and amazing :)

After pictures, we stopped at the Skousen's to thaw out for a quick minute, then headed over to the church for the luncheon which was delicious, short, and sweet. There was homemade Cafe Rio, toasts, lots of laughs, and once again, I didn't take a single picture. Oh well, a picture could not have captured my favorite part anyway: Kelly trying to cut off Kade's grandpa so that Jer could give a toast, and Jer repeatedly denying his opportunity to embarrass Cait. I get boogers at my wedding dinner, and Cait gets nothing????? #whatever

We ran back home for another quick nap (I'm pretty sure I was fighting an exhaustion-induced cold by this point) and then headed over to the reception center to help set up and once again I was the FIRST PERSON THERE! What is happening in the world????  In the universe???? In the MILKY WAY GALAXY??????? (*cry laughing emoji*)

Dancing, singing, dessert, a Del Taco run, sparklers, snow, friends, and family. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding celebration.

We love you Cait and Kade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

... that Cait got married!!!!! (Part 1)

Cait wanted to have an open house in Camarillo when Mom got home, so Matt and I jumped on a plane and headed to California for a whole 28 hours! We flew in Thursday morning and rented a car to take Mom back to Camarillo with us. Except then her luggage made her miss her connection in San Francisco... And we ended up having a couple of extra hours to kill in LA. Which may have turned out to be a good thing, because someone accidentally left their wedding heels at home, and I needed to go find another pair. No one was really worried about Mom's flight getting in anyway; they were obviously way more concerned with getting their orders from Tito's.

#titosforlife

We grabbed a breakfast of champions at Del Taco, ran to Target and the Mall, found two pairs of shoes and some other necessities, jetted to Tito's to grab the food, raced back to the airport to pick up Mom, then were finally on our way to Camarillo!

We arrived to Kelly's house and jumped right into the chaos that was already under way. The Skousens were in the kitchen doing flowers and the Blicks were running all over the house like chickens with their heads cut off. But after many hours of makeuping and hairdoing and dress switching and tablecloth ironing and shoe changing and present giving, we headed up to the reception center in Westlake!

The food was good, the company was better, and I was so happy to be there! So happy in fact that I didn't remember to take a single picture the whole night. Not even with my sisters, who apparently all took pictures without me.

#whatever

It was so so so good to be home! And if it was only for one night, at least it was a night to remember!

We love Camarillo and Cait and Kade!!!

... that January was really really busy?

The whole month of January was packed with all sorts of crazy fun!!!

I visited Matt's cousin, who has her own rabbitry and tons of baby bunnies.

Yes, a rabbitry is a real thing and it is now my lifelong dream to have one of my own.

I helped Cait get ready for the wedding

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Matt and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary with a little staycation in Park City. We stayed at the Silverado Lodge up in The Canyons and had a great time. We also found a great burger place up there called the Junction that was pretty dang good! I took this pic to document my new favorite tote bag that I got for Christmas that makes me laugh every time I look at it (thanks Brookie!)

And we had a little visit from Jamie and Pierce!!!

SUCH A CUTIE.

Before we knew it, it was wedding time!!!!!
