... that it's Fair time again?!?!

I LOVE THE FAIR!!!!!!!!  I have been patiently waiting for the State Fair ALL SUMMER LONG and it finally came!  We waited for the rain to stop, convinced Kar and Zach to bring little G, and we all had a great time.

Matt even let me do a little tiny bit of shopping :)

This pig probably weighed 700 pounds.  Seriously, the biggest pig I have ever seen.

And of course there was FAIR FOOD!!!

In addition to the ice cream and this little bag of delicious mini donuts, we scarfed down some chili cheese fries, an onion blossom, and a lemonade.  Basically my favorite part of the fair by far.

... that it's Matty's Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTY!!!!!!

The festivities began with a small pre-birthday steak fest

Where my arch enemy gave us our traditional BYU birthday shirts.  Yes, I said "our" because he always gets me one for Matt's birthday too.  What a sweet nemesis.

The day before Matt's birthday was Labor Day, so of course we had to start our celebrating early.  We went to McDonald's for birthday McGriddles, then Smashburger for some birthday hamburgers.  Basically Matt's dream day.  We did a little birthday Savers shopping then tried to catch a dollar movie, but the theater was PACKED, so we just relaxed at home instead.  Then the real party was on Tuesday:

Tracy, Marc, Mira, Ezie, Lance, Renee, Kendra, Kaari, and Baby G all came over for birthday enchiladas (a tradition started last year).  Kendra brought adorable cupcakes, Tracy made the most delicious German Chocolate cake, and a good time was had by all.  Mostly G, who showed her delight by screaming repeatedly at the top of her lungs in mine and Kaari's eardrums.  Don't worry, it was cute.
