... that Matt and I are made for each other?

We like all the same things! Like date nights at the temple

And keeping our pores clear

And silly selfies

I love my Matty!!!!!

... that you needed an update on ChrisTina?

The World's Best Bunny has only gotten better.

She loves kids (and lettuce)

And babies

And the back of the couch

And Sonic

And dressing up

And selfies!

She did NOT love getting neutered (she is a real woman now hahahahahahaha!)

But she does love cuddling!

(Matt does NOT allow ChrisTina on the couch, but every once in a while I sneak her on there for a quick cuddle)

She runs in circles around my feet or pushes me with her nose when I'm not petting her enough

And I also learned that if I tickle her bum, she will spin in circles trying to get me.

I could not love her more!!!

... that it is time to catch up?

It has been 5 months since I posted. Oops. So here is where we left off:

The Third Annual Harrison Halloween Hooplah!!!

I convinced Matt that our tiny apartment was big enough for a party (it wasn't) and that not everyone would come anyway (they did) and that we could totally handle it (barely). Our house was filled to the brim with utter chaos and basically destroyed by the end of the night, but what else would you want in a Halloween Party???

We went with a "Night in the Cemetery" theme:

And I'll just go ahead and mention here that I did all of the decorating on my own because a certain husband got to go to a football game with his friends in Idaho the night before the party, and he didn't show up until a few hours before the party started. Just kidding, he did help me get ready before he left. Sort of. The important thing is all the decorations and our costumes got done, and we were able to party with everyone:

Old friends,

New friends,

And of course lots of family

My "grave photobooth" idea never really took off, but turned into more of a giant bed for the kids to play on

But that didn't stop Kar from getting her perfect Instawinning pic of her adorable family costumes.
Which, BTW, I will TOTALLY take partial credit for, since she ALWAYS comes to me every year for costume ideas, and I always tell her exactly how to execute them, and I went to three different stores with her AND her kids to get her all the pieces she needed to put them together, and of course spent countless hours on the phone answering questions, giving ideas, and reassuring her that yes she could make Zach wear that wig. You're welcome, Kar.

We set up a movie for the kids in the "cemetery,"

Had a spider making and a cookie decorating station (even though Cait wasn't there to make the cookies for me, thanks Kar for stepping in!!!),

And homemade treats for guests to take home.
They're ghosts. Obviously.
So not Pinterest worthy. Whatevs.

And a good time was had by all. Except probably Zach hahahahahahahahahaha.

We got to use our zombie costumes again at the Ward party a few days later, where of course we gave ourselves the award for best costumes.

We make pretty good dead people.

I love Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!!!

... that Matt said:

On food:
Me: "This whipped cream is so thick, it's almost butter."
Matt: "I know, right?? We're so lucky!!"

On manners:
Matt: Eating Chinese food in a restaurant with his fingers.
Me: "Honey."
Matt: "What?"
Me: "No."
Matt: "But they're just like little chopsticks!"
Me: "No."

One of the many excuses I've heard for not showering: "It's Pioneer Day! I'm living like them!"

On passing gas:
Matt: "I may have pooped my pants."
Me:
Matt: "Just kidding."
Me:
Matt: "Actually, maybe I did. I didn't check."

While making me breakfast:
Matt: "You take this piece of toast, the other one has floor butter on it.
Me: "Floor butter?"
Matt: "Yeah like some butter dropped on the floor and I picked it up and put it on the bread."
Me:
Matt: "You know. Floor butter."

On having a very stylish mustache: "It's just getting to the point where I can use it like baleen."

When I told him that I would not split a disgusting Little Caesar's pretzel crust pizza with him: "I guess I'll just split it with... my stomach."

On seeing an ad for a Bariatric surgery center:
Matt: "Bariatric surgery? Is that like old gummy bear surgery?"
Me: "....... Yes."
Matt: (to the tune of Gummy Berry Juice) "Bariatric, Bariatric juuuice, Bariatric, Bariatric juuuice..."

When I asked him a question about football:
Me: "Are you embarrassed when I ask questions like that?"
Matt: "No, it's okay. They don't have football in China."

Trying to act mature:
Matt: "I'm very sophisticated."
Me: "No 'number two' jokes."
Matt: "'Number two' jokes are the height of sophistication right now."

On maintaining a well balanced diet: "Now that I'm cutting back on soda, I'm not getting as much corn syrup as I'd like."

Before he dragged me out for a night of Disco Skating:
"Honey, this is serious. I have to make sure I'm warmed up. I don't want to embarrass myself out there."

I love my Matty!!!

... that we keep ourselves busy?

We're not too exciting really. We have the occasional date night at Sonic

And every once in a while, a babysitting gig with the prettiest boy on earth

And if we really want to party, we make cinnamon rolls

Because clearly, we all love cinnamon rolls.

... that I still love the fair?

Lisa and Brian asked us to babysit for them on the weekend that the state fair was going on. So we decided to take the kiddos along with us and double our fun! Lucky for us, Dad volunteered to come along as an extra babysitter too! First up was an adorable little interactive farming center where the kids got to experience farm life:

Milking the fake cows

Planting and harvesting a garden

Riding the tractors

And selling your goods at the end of the day for a treat.

It was pretty awesome if you ask me!

Next up was the animals! The first summer Matt and I were married, I begged him to go to the fair with me. When we got there, Matt asked me what I wanted to do. I immediately yelled, "Let's get some tickets and ride on the rides!!!" When Matt looked at me like I was a crazy person, I asked him what he wanted to do. He responded, "Let's go look at the animals!" And I said, "They have animals here??" Needless to say, we grew up with very different experiences at county fairs (I'm pretty sure my mother would have rather died than corral all us kids through a barn filled with filthy cows and pigs). That being said, it was very easy for Matt to sway me to his view of the fair: I love animals! Plus, they had real live reindeer.

Even Eloise loved it!

And they also had the largest rabbit exhibit I've seen at the fair yet.

Dream come true.

I love the fair!!!

... that I don't like BYU as much as I should?

The Williams have a tradition that they take their boys to Utah for a BYU football game once a year. Which means that Matt gets at least one free pass to go to a BYU game once a year. Just kidding, he goes whenever he wants. But I like to come to the games with him when the kids are here.

Bruncles (Brother Uncles). So fun right?
Not really for me.

I know I'm a wuss. I don't do anything physical. I should, but I don't because LAZY and OUCH. Anyway, we drove down to Provo to meet the Williams boys for the game, but we got there a little late and had to walk quite a ways (by my standards) to get dinner before the game. But when we got to dinner, I told Matt that my feet hurt. He said he was sorry as nicely as he could, and then sweetly told me that we had barely walked a mile and a half. Maybe. I am a baby. But then we had to walk the rest of the way to the stadium and my feet were seriously killing me. So I took off my shoes and felt the bottom of my feet and discovered the hugest blisters I have ever had on my feet. Seriously. I couldn't put my shoes back on because my feet hurt so bad. When I made Matt look at them, he exclaimed, "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR FEET???"

I left my shoes off the rest of the game, and when it was time to walk the mile and a half back to the car, I alternated between limping barefoot and making Matt carry me on his back. And the blisters didn't go away for a week.

Good thing I love BYU.
